My P990 - stolen on a bus

Yeah... stolen. In 2 years here at Mumbai, never had an experience like this. And when it finally came, it was my Rs.30k phone.

mebbe it was meant to be. So no more incredible pics...
Coincidentally, at least 5 other fellows office mates had their phones stolen from the same bus in the last 2 months. We intend to give a combined plea at the Police station. For now, Ive already blocked and got a new sim with the same number but Im using a borrowed cell. I dont think i can ever have the heart to buy another cell after losing one worth so much...

Leave you with a few thots - pls dont laff (do it behind my back if u wish!).

Sighhhh! Sure you werent perfect. I took all the wonderful pluses for granted! The photos. The huge data storage. The wifi and excellent browsing and touchscreen!!!!
But I loved thee almost as much as my older P800. you survived even a swim in the oceans just a month after you were mine... all for this?

Curse upon thee o thief
who thinks nothing
of living off another.
Like fleas and louse
you parasites
Oh if but once
in my grasp you fell...
Ahimsa to the wind I'd throw!
And it would not suffice
Even A week of mopping
To clear ur splatter'd remains
Upon the dirtied streets

I wonder now about my pleas
To the heavens sent...
Maybe they were too harsh?
Public humiliation to start off.
Then Lightning to strike
And yet you survive
only to be burnt alive before being
Shot and trampled in the end...
But on the other hand
it wasnt too much to ask?

Update June-2008
We didn't manage to have the time to go and give a group complaint.
But a couple of my mates who did go were met by apathy and rudeness at the police station. The police refused to file an FIR (this would force them to take some action and follow up) but only made a note in their complaint book (basically they dont have to do anything about it).
I'm now using a spare phone on my brother...
